It's all true. There is no enforcement on the coast. The North Central region I'm not too worried about. Perfect example. I was hailed on Tuesday by the Yellow Rose off Gualala river. Although there were no boats in sight for miles I figured they were sitting in the bar north of the Gualala river. Asked what I was doing out there?. I simply responded on a little fishing trip to Saunders. Well these folks are watching the coast constantly and know who belongs where? Probably have VHF in their coastal homes too.

South Central an LA area don't know. Seems like there are 10 mile sandy beach locations without oversight.
