    Abalone Re: Take a Stand

See you there Jim...and everyone else too. Hey guys and gals....I'm bring up some frozen Alaskan Halibut and Silver Salmon for a raffle prize, or when ever Jim wants to do with it.....Auction if off, its valuable! Salmon, all species in the Soldotna Safeways was $14.99 a pound all summer long.

Arch Richardson & Cate Carre (the sweet and lucky lady that had the 65lb King Salmon taken from the Kenai River in the first 5 minutes of our Alaska summer) ask her if she has a picture of the salmon in her wallet and I'll bet you won't find one of me.

    Re: Take a Stand

The Take a Stand Concert & Seafood Tasting was a huge success. Over 500 people attended, enjoyed great music, and won lots of raffle prizes. A lot of people had their eyes opened about the MLPA Initiative. We raised close to $10,000 for the California Fisheries Coalition. Thanks to all of you for your hard work and support!

The highlight of the day happened when Arch Richardson, one of the owners of the Richardson Ranch on the Sonoma Coast, won a Fender electric guitar donated by Faultline Music in Paso Robles. Arch graciously donated the guitar back for an impromptu live auction. During the auction, Arch bid up his own guitar to $550 and then he gave it to a young member of the Black Horse Blues Band! The crowd went nuts.

Abalone Native American not left out of process...

Rick Parrish, a native american from the Kashia tribe of Pomo Indians so far is the only Native American that has gained something from the MLPA process. Thanks to me...not the State of California, Fish & Game or the Packard Foundation. I have know Rick since he was a baby, his music. singing and band are fantastic. All of my family lost...but this individual won something.

As you know I have not given up and somehow will still support any organization or individual who is try to overturn this so call process supported by crooked government and outside dollars. It's not over yet!!!

For those of you who did not attend..........YOU MISSED A GREAT FUNDRAISER.
