Please correct me if I'm wrong. We have until the 1st of January 2010 to over turn the commissions vote. When the commission goes against the F&G the message was clear that their is some dirt in the process. When The Sea Ranch Association offers the process 4 miles of coastline with 3 County Parks access trails included (picked up in only 2XA) and no other proposal took advantage of the offer puzzles me. When they forget the seaweed harvesters from the start this is an over site. I mentioned the Native Americans at the first Gualala meeting. So seaweed harvest was mentioned from the start, but forgotten and not heard like other items. The Native Americans on the RSG realized the loss from the begining and did not participate to their utmost capabilities. Like the private properties on the coast, they were not heard and realized they lost their heritage from the start. The area in sub-regions 1 & 2 were completely overlooked and the residents and business (except in 2XA) where walked on by the enviro's. I'm not going to back off now boys and girls...the fight has just started. We have two commissions whom we can trust and are listening. The other 3, you know how they stand and whom they are voting for.

Mistakes and changes from region to region changes the rules for all of us. The Rules are the Rules, and should be the same for the entire coast. Lets see what happens in the NCSR and the BAY. The Point Arena Pier will die without the commercial urchin divers. At the present time the urchin boats are all that is keeping the PA Pier alive. It has been failing for years because of no salmon season and this could be the end of it. Fort Ross will be over picked of abalone because of the closure of Point Arena and the Kruse Ranch (North end of Salt Point State Park). As soon as that abalone fishery is wiped out, the F&G will close the complete coast, as the adjoining SMR's did not and can not do their job. Will this happen to the near shore rockfish areas too? Yes it will. Changes in regulations would have and can have a better and more positive results than the MLPAI.

Give me some ideas people, as I'm not finished yet.
