    Angler and Boater Alert
Your help is needed in California!
The State of California is woefully lacking the financial resources to implement the Marine Life Protection Act (MLPA) in a fair and science-based way. The cost to just scientifically monitor and enforce designated marine protected areas (MPAs) has been estimated to be over $30 million a year, but the state is currently $24 billion in debt.

Please send a letter to Governor Schwarzenegger supporting both the letter recently sent by Fish and Game Commissioner Dan Richards, and the suspension of the planning and implementation of the MLPA until the state has the financial resources to do it fairly the first time.

Voice your support for recreational fishing - send your letter now!

To view the letter sent by Commissioner Richards, visit www.keepamericafishing.org/california.html

Thank you for doing your part to Keep America Fishing.

I just sent it. Was I too late? Slammed at work and not paying attention. (Just like half of California).

Thumbs down Re: Letters to the Governor needed

what a fucking mess......everytime I see arnie or read his quotes I cringe.....when he uses words like "veto" or "government policies", I actually laugh. He's an actor who immigrated here from Austria after taking steroids from childhood to build up an incredible body.......than, somehow, we believed he was a politician. Fucking Gray Davis, what an asshole. Arnie never would have been governor had Davis not been such a colossal screwup. Had Davis finished out his term like a normal governor, I really don't think so many of us would have drank arnies koolaid. When I traveled in Austria, if anyone asked where I was from, they immediately began chuckling......they couldn't believe arnie was a politician, and that anyone in their right minds would listen to him. I am stoked that he has the ultimate power around here, he's just the man for a budget crisis.
