There seems to be a vote taking place tomorrow in the Legislature that will decide whether or not to continue funding of the MLPAI. The proponents of the MLPAI, who would fund this thing even if health care, education and other vital programs were cut, are campaigning to encourage further funding. It would be in everyones best interest to contact your Senate and Assembly representatives to suspend any further funding for the MLPAI and to voice opposition to any further private funding of State projects.
In the interest of time a fax will probably be most beneficial.
You can find your representative at this site and respond.

I am currently checking on the validity of the vote.

Thank you Linglover. I have been looking all over and calling but no luck. For San Francisco it is Assy, Fiona Ma and Senator Leland Yee.

If you want to watch the action, the Budget Conference Committee hearing is scheduled today for 9:30 AM and will be available at The California Channel.
Might as well check it out to see what happens after all that faxing. If you can't be at a computer this morning, the same website archives these things for later viewing.
