To protect as much recreational fishing opportunity as possible, send a letter to the California Fish and Game Commission in support of proposal 2XA.

Voice your support for recreational fishing - send your letter now!

    The Situation
During its May 13-14 meeting, the California Fish and Game Commission will begin taking public comment on the proposals that will establish marine protected areas (MPAs) in the North Central Coast under the state's Marine Life Protection Act (MLPA).

The Commission plans to vote on which proposal it will adopt during its August 2009 meeting. Right now, the California Fish and Game Commission is poised to adopt a proposal that closes 13 percent of the North Coast Study region to recreational fishing.

The Partnership for Sustainable Oceans (PSO), which represents the interests of recreational anglers and boaters, is supporting proposal 2XA as the preferred alternative for the North Central Coast. Proposal 2XA places MPAs in locations with a high level of conservation while minimizing the economic impact on local communities and still allows anglers maximum access to fishing.

I've sent my letters and I'll be there on the 14th to speak my mind.

    I object!

The MLPA process is a travesty! It's a travesty of a mockery of a sham of a mockery of a trasvesty of two mockeries of a sham!

Perfectly Said.....but lets get a plan together. No wasted time at the mic. Have your shit in order and dont make any mistakes. We are on a mission!!! 2XA is the way to go. Some of us should maybe follow the Enviro's, so for a change we get the last word in. As they always turn what we say around to make them look good. Lets have a plan Ben & Ed...we need your leadership, censorship and advice here.........................2XA is the North Coast, Sub-region 1 survival plan!!!!
