Since my last blog I completed priming the leaning post, rear half of the liner, and the cuddy. The use of the Valspar primer really made the final prep for gel coat significantly easier and with superior results. With everything primed, getting them sprayed with gel coat has been a bit of waiting game. In particular, waiting for warm enough weather. Lows in Ukiah have been in the 20s and 30s for months. With winter approaching I have been working on the boat a lot. I want to get this this buttoned up before winter...plus I want splash this POS and go crabbing!!! I rebuilt the rotten roof the same way I tackled the rotten tank hatch. Although it was a lot of extra work, I am glad I found the rot now. Once I had the roof repaired, I finished all of the other small dings, nicks, holes, cracks, etc. The rough, structural work on glass repairs is really the easy part. ...

With everything below decks wrapped up it was time to get the topside ready for fresh gelcoat. I stripped the boat back down and began prepping the cuddy. I finally saved enough pennies to get my new tank. The general rule of thumb is $10 a gallon and sure enough my 75 gallon tank was just shy of $750 delivered.
